Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Text My Assistant collects, why, and what you can do about it. Text My Assistant is based in Texas.
What we collect
- Your phone number and the messages you send and receive
- What you tell the assistant, like your name, time zone and preferences
- Your calendar, tasks and email, only if you connect them
- A record of your consent to receive texts
How we use it
We use your information only to run your assistant: to answer you, keep your reminders and do what you ask.
If you choose to turn it on, we may use our conversations with you to find ways to make the service better. Before anyone or anything looks at them, names, phone numbers, emails, addresses and money amounts are removed, conversations about sensitive subjects such as health are only counted by topic, and the review runs on our own server and produces patterns only, with no quotes and no names. Your email and Drive files are never included. It is off unless you turn it on, you can turn it off any time, and you lose nothing by leaving it off.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your information.
- We don't share your phone number or text consent with anyone for marketing.
- We don't use your information to train AI, and we don't allow our providers to.
- We don't send anything to anyone for you without your yes.
Who helps us run it
A few companies handle your information so the service can work: Anthropic, which provides the AI that writes replies, our text message provider, our hosting provider, and Airtable, where we keep the waitlist (your first name and only the last 4 digits of your number). They may use it only to provide their service to us. Anthropic doesn't train on it and normally deletes it within 30 days, though it may keep messages flagged for safety longer.
Google information
If you connect Google, we use that access only to do what you ask. Text My Assistant's use of information received from Google APIs will follow the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. You can remove our access anytime in your Google Account.
Keeping and deleting it
We keep your information while you use the service. Text the assistant or email us to delete everything, and we will. Your Google connection ends at the same time.
Security
Connection keys are encrypted, and access is limited. No system is perfectly secure, so we'll tell you promptly if something happens to your information.
Children
This service is for adults 18 and older.
